Sakuramon Gate
The main tower is the largest of all the reconstructed castle towers in Japan, and from its observation platform 50meters above ground level, you can see the city of Osaka and the mountains in the distance.

Osaka Castle was first built in 1583 by Hideyoshi Toyotomi (one of the ruler at The Sengoku period), and after the castle fell during the Summer War in Osaka 1615, it was rebuilt in 1620 under the direction of Hidetada Tokugawa.
The castle tower was destroyed by fire in 1665 due to a lightning strike, and many other structures were lost during the Meiji Restoration.
After that, the current castle tower was built in 1931.
