“Sumimasen” is one of the most common words used by Japanese people in daily conversation.

The original meaning of “Sumimasen” is apology. However, it can be used in three different ways depending on the situation.
Specifically, it can be used in three different ways: as an apology, as a thank you, or as a request or a call for help.
