Ookini is a dialect used mainly in the Kansai region such as Kyoto, Osaka, meaning “thank you”.
It is often used synonymously with “Arigato” in standard Japanese.
Ookini is often used by restaurant staff to see customers off.

Originally, it was used as “Ookini (meaning “much”) Arigato” but “Arigato” was omitted and “Ookini” came to be used.
