The Tachikawa Showa Kinen Park Fireworks has been a summer tradition in Tachikawa for more than 60 years since 1954.
The main venue is a field in the middle of Showa Kinen Park, which attracts many people not only from Tachikawa citizens but also from the Tama area (Western Tokyo).
On the day of the festival, admission to Showa Kinen Park is charged as usual until 17:00. However, the park will be open free of charge after 17:30.
Therefore, it is expected that the park will be very crowded after 17:30.
