The Kawasaki Municipal Government Anniversary Tamagawa Fireworks is a historic fireworks festival held at Tamagawa Green Space, located on the banks of the Tama River between Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture and Setagaya City, Tokyo.
As the name suggests, the event was started to commemorate the establishment of Kawasaki City as a municipality, and the year 2023 will mark the 82nd time the event has been held.
The Kawasaki Municipal Government Anniversary Tamagawa Fireworks is held jointly with the Setagaya Tamagawa Fireworks Festival held in Setagaya City, Tokyo on the opposite shore, and a total of 6,000 fireworks will be launched.
