Ichikawa Misato-cho Furusato Summer Festival “Shinmei Fireworks Festival” is one of the largest fireworks festivals in Yamanashi Prefecture, held on the banks of the Fuefukigawa River, which flows through Nishiyatsushiro District in Yamanashi Prefecture.
The Shinmei Fireworks Festival is one of the few fireworks festivals in Japan that shoots off a 2-shaku dama (a large firework that rises to about 500 meters and spreads to a diameter of about 500 meters).
