Ueno-onshi-koen, commonly known as Ueno Park, is located in Ueno, Taito city, Tokyo, adjacent to Ueno Station.
It is the first urban park in Japan.
Ueno Park is rich in nature, and has approximately 800 cherry trees. It is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, attracting many visitors during the blooming season.
Also at July and August, the Shinobazu Pond is covered with lotus.
In addition to temples and shrines, such as Ueno-Toshogu-Shrine and Shinobazu-no-ike Rentendo, there are also many cultural facilities such as the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and Ueno Zoo.
And there are several cafes with terrace seating, including Starbucks Coffee, making it the perfect place to take a break.
Ueno Toshogu Shrine
During the hanami season(cherry blossom viewing season) in March, when the cherry trees are in full bloom, it used to be a tradition for many people to enjoy watching cherry blossom and drinking.
