Tokyo Midtown, located in Minato City, Tokyo, is a large complex of 130 retail stores, a hotel (The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo), museums, offices, residences, hospitals, and parks that opened in the Roppongi area in 2007.
The Midtown Tower, the core of Tokyo Midtown, stands 248 meters (813 feet) tall, making it the tallest building in Tokyo.
Cherry Blossom viewing Spots
During the cherry blossom season in spring, rows of cherry trees appear in the garden area of Tokyo Midtown. It is also famous as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Roppongi. and is illuminated.
In 2024, it will be illuminated from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, April 14, from 17:00 to 23:00.
There are a total of three other complexes bearing the Tokyo Midtown name, “Tokyo Midtown Hibiya”, which opened in 2018, and “Tokyo Midtown Yaesu”, located at the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station, which opened in 2023.
However, when Tokyo Midtown is not followed by anything, it generally refers to Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, which was the first to open.
