The Tokyo Subway Ticket is a ticket that allows unlimited rides on all Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines within the validity period.

There are countless subway lines in the 23 wards of Tokyo, covering about 280 stations including Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, Tokyo, Ginza, Ikebukuro, and Roppongi.

Tokyo Subway Ticket Specifications

The Tokyo Subway Ticket is available in 24-hour, 48-hour, and 72-hour tickets, each with a different validity period. Prices are as follows.

■24-hour ticket

  • Adult: ¥800
  • Child: ¥400

■48-hour ticket

  • Adult: ¥1,200
  • Child: ¥600

■72-hour ticket

  • Adult: ¥1,500
  • Child: ¥750

The Tokyo Metro offers 13 lines: Ginza , Marunouchi, Hibiya, Tozai, Chiyoda, Yurakucho, Hanzomon, Namboku, and Fukutoshin Lines; Toei Subway offers Asakusa, Mita, Shinjuku, and Oedo Lines.

Tickets can be purchased mainly at overseas travel agencies, airports, and subway stations. At that time purchasing in Japan, confirmation of a short-term stay visa in the passport is required.
